The mission of the Round Lake Park Police Department is to affirmatively promote, within the available resources and while engaging in lawful police functions, a feeling of security and safety for every member of our community.
The mission of the RLA Public Library is to engage our diverse community through resources and experiences that celebrate ideas, inspire creativity and enrich lives with exceptional personal service.
The Building Department for the Village of Round Lake Park ensures the safe and lawful use of buildings and properties according to the International Building Code, and local ordinances. We facilitate development with integrity, efficiency, and professionalism. The Building Department is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for all Round Lake Park residents and businesses while making our Village a great place to live, work, and build.
The Greater Round Lake Fire Protection District responds to the fire, emergency medical, and other emergency calls which occur in the Round Lake Area. The fire district provides coverage to approximately 52,000 residents of the area, and responded to over 4,600 calls last year.
The mission of the Round Lake Area Park District is to promote healthy lifestyles through recreation programs, facilities and open spaces.
The Public Works Department is a behind the scenes department that keeps the Village operating. The most noticeable operations of the department include maintaining water, wastewater, and storm drainage systems, cleaning up vacant lots, and keeping the streets maintained and clear of ice and snow. The services the Public Works Department provides are an integral part of our citizens’ everyday lives. The delivery of our services is key to maintaining and improving the quality of life for our residents and businesses.
Water for the Village of Round Lake Park comes from Lake Michigan, and is delivered by the Central Lake County Joint Action Water Agency (JAWA). This water treatment plant services the needs of 12 communities in Lake County, and ensures a safe and reliable source of drinking water for its residents.
